Flambient and lighting: flash lighting - up to 4 photos of a single scene with a separate exposure for exterior (doors, windows). This results in soft shadows, even lighting and natural white ambiance.
Initial edit - stacking: merging all photos into one by means of selecting the best area of each for all elements in the scenery.
Luminosity masking: precise manual control over darker and lighter areas of an image to achieve the best result while avoiding the 'HDR' and 'blown out' highlights.
High Pass: a selective sharpening technique for the final look. Paired with additional 'cleaning' of any details and imperfections (dirt, traces of construction work, item damage).
When it comes to portraits I'm a virtual stylist, make-up artist, dermatologist and dentist. And if you insist, I can do virtual liposuction. But why would you? Love thyself, and let me handle the details for natural looking, professional results ♥
Lighting: the use of a softbox and other lighting tools and portrait lenses - excluding situations when a flash is obtrusive (holy mass, for example).
Skin tones and volumetric shadows: evening out skin tones, adding volumetric shadows for flattering results, removal of 'burned out' higlights which is a common result of using lighting.
Skin imperfections, detailing: removal of various acne, pimples, wrinkles, stray hair removal and teeth whtening as well as digitally ironing out clothes. Yes, seriously.
Poorly lit night events can be challenging. I overcome this with the use of proper equipment and advanced editing tools.
Noise and exposure correction: reducing noise and regaining light as well as color saturation, while retaining creative freedoms (concerts).
Skin tones and emphasis: barring extreme cases, skin tones and color saturation can always be corrected. In the case of musicians, emphasis is placed on expresisons and instruments.
Subject and background separation: I make creative use of subject separation if the need arises, as well as black and white transfer with manually balancing contrast.
Quality product photographs require color accuracy, regardless of the product make and size, as well extra attention to details, lighting and correcting imperfections in print, product or food preparation.
Stacking and reflections: I light the product from multiple angles and merge the results selectively. With glass products such as bottles I handle the unwanted reflections with the use of a polarizing filter and editing.
Fixing colors, details, imperfections: correction of unnatural lighting found on location, separate color balancing, and correction of possible imperfections such as packaging damage, uneven print, dirt and fingerprints.
Webshop background removal: I deliver results with transparent backgrounds regardless of the location they're shot at, with great attention to detail and edge fidelity.
